Lovi, the debut album by Noiduin, is now available in a stylish CD digipak edition, including an 8-page booklet featuring lyrics and artwork from the album’s mythical world. Limited edition.
Noiduin’s Lovi leads the listener deep into Finnish forests and guides them through a world inhabited by mythical beings such as the bear, the serpent, and iron. The title Lovi refers to a concept in ancient Finnish tradition - a liminal state where the boundaries between life and death blur, symbolizing a journey into the depths of the subconscious and the spiritual realm. Noiduin blends Finnish incantation traditions with Nordic mysticism. The soundscape is enriched by self-built traditional instruments: kantele, jouhikko, blowing horns, frame drums, and a variety of percussions crafted from natural materials.
